Two Ways To Troubleshoot Your Hot Tub

Posted on

A hot tub can be a lot of fun to have. It's a great way to entertain and relax. It can also be a great way to handle stress and pain. You can sit in the hot tub and let the hot water work on your aches and pains and let the jets massage those aches and pains away. However, your lovely hot tub can start to have problems and you won't be able to use it until it gets fixed again. There are some ways that you can troubleshoot your hot tub and figure out what the problem is and maybe fix it.

Won't Heat Up

There are a few things that could cause your hot tub to not heat up. One is that you might have a broken heating element. If, when you are testing it, it doesn't heat up, then all you need to do is replace it. However, that's not the only thing that could cause your hot tub to not get hot. The pump could be malfunctioning. The pump needs to be functioning so that the hot water can circulate around the hot tub. If your pump isn't working, then it doesn't matter if the pump is working or not, since it can't heat up the water. If you have a multimeter, you can use that to test to see if the various components in your hot tub are getting electricity. If you don't think about anything is working, you can always call a hot tub repair tech to get it checked on.

No Water Through the Jets

The jets are part of what makes your nice hot tub so nice. So when they stop working, then you've got problems. The first thing you should do and check to make sure that all the jets are wide open. It may seem like one of those things that you wouldn't need to check, but it's like checking to make sure that something is plugged in. It's an easy check to do, and it may fix the problem. If they are all open, then you may have something called an airlock. An airlock happens when you have drained and refilled your hot tub. Air gets stuck in the pipes of your hot tub, and it can't get out, so when it's time to turn on the jets, nothing can get out. You can bleed out the air to see if that helps in getting your hot tub working again.
